My husband and I bought a used caravan. The seal around the vent in the bathroom was in poor condition. As you can see from the photos, the old gasket has become discolored, hardened, deformed and has come loose from the vent cover pivot arm. In the second photo, the old oil seal and the new oil seal for comparison. The old gasket was easy to remove and the new one took about 5 minutes to install. The fan is a Ventline V2094 model. The gasket was about 1/2 inch too long and was easy to trim with scissors. One thing. Some people say they used glue during their installation. I recommend NOT using glue as these seals only last a couple of years before the weather calls for replacement. Using glue will make removing the old seal more difficult and will leave marks on the metal rim where the seal sits. It can take a lot of scraping to get the new gasket in place, making a simple job a pain.
