The RE tie rod is designed for very high loads and is very well made. I just installed it last weekend and am looking forward to hitting the trail to see how it handles obstacle flexing. ONE NOTE: You MUST have a 5/8" drill bit (Black Oxide or Cobalt (best)) AND drilling oil to drill the tapered hole in the bracket on the frame. Ordinary steel drill is not suitable! You will also need a 1/2" drill bit to enlarge the hole in the axle mount. I would recommend the same hardness (black oxide or cobalt) for drilling this hole, but a regular steel hole saw will probably do the trick.
