. He gave a cortisone shot and recommended a splint to limit wrist movement. I asked if it would do much good and he said probably not. I tried it anyway and it was very painful to put on and take off after the injection and my fingers were numb and tingling just a few minutes after wearing it. After that I switched to a full velcro bandage and although it looks bulkier and uglier it protected my wrist much better while it healed. I can recommend this if you only have mild discomfort and very thin fingers so that the circulation is not cut off. Wanted to return it but missed the window.
