This tape has a very heavy and strong plastic outer layer with one of the strongest adhesives I have tried. The outer layer appears to be very water resistant and should be an excellent material for caulking or stopping water leaks. After examining the outer plastic cover of the band, I concluded that it would be resilient to prolonged exposure to sunlight. After laying the tape on a smooth surface such as a a PVC pipe, you will find that it sticks so tightly that it is very difficult to remove, at least after a day or two of installation. For an easy-to-use waterproof material designed to prevent water ingress or water leaks, you couldn't beat this tape. Also suitable for connecting materials with a smooth surface, as it is a very strong binding agent.
