The only reason is that there is a Mini SD card had slot so I could record videos on the card instead of storing my family's videos in the "cloud". The description states that the mini SD card allows storing videos. IT IS NOT TRUE. It's a waste of time and money when you spend money on a mini SD card and stick it in the slot, it does nothing but fill the space and let you format it. It never writes and there is no option to create a backup. The app isn't even set up to "backup" your videos, as you might think from the instructions. The camera works, but if you need video footage, expect it on the cloud and expect to pay for it. Don't waste your money on a mini SD card. If I had known the card was a joke I would have bought a different camera.
