Doesn't fit well in outlet covers

I was looking for an air conditioner outlet insulator with a round plug, these were the only ones that offered a cutout for this style. The good thing is that the cutouts are easy to remove and the material is comfortable and dense. Too bad too big for a socket and the screw holes don't line up. Yes I could crop it but why would I, they also seemed pretty expensive at $7.50 for a set of two! I just feel like I wasted my money.
