I've been repairing SMDs for a long time (but not for phones) I bought them to repair my wife's Galaxy S7 The plastic picks (petals) have a raised area in the center that prevents them from being inserted beyond a shallow depth (too shallow to fully break the adhesive on the back of the phone). But I have no idea what's what, but I do am new to cell phone repair so maybe it's just general knowledge for those in the industry.
