They're crumbling and cave in outside in less than a year
Two nights ago I heard something sliding on my roof. Turns out those little clips I used on my gutters to hold the Christmas lights to the roofline (a string of lights made by Costco) broke and the domino effect broke them all. They were bought less than a year ago. They obviously don't stand up to ultraviolet radiation, and it doesn't often get below freezing in Boise. They become brittle and break. They came loose from the rope and broke into several small pieces. I would not recommend them as a long term solution for hanging fixtures outdoors.
