This product can kill you in a wide variety of ways

This is literally the most dangerous product I've ever seen on Revain. Do not buy it if you value your fingers or your life.We bought this saw hoping it'd make a nice little saw for cutting pen blanks. It's under-powered for cutting through a square inch of wood, but actually getting to that point was a harrowing adventure.First let's talk about how this saw will kill you electrically. The plug has no ground pin, which is rare for a power tool. The plug is then wired into a DC transformer with all of the wiring exposed. When using this saw you're never more than 2 feet from putting your hand onto 120V AC wiring. And of course there's zero strain relief. One misstep and you'll have a pair of hot copper wires connected directly to your wall outlet. The DC side is a hot mess too. The wiring there is exposed too, but worse is the connector used to connect it to the saw. This is a standard AC power connector like a PC uses, but it's wired for DC. So if you grab the wrong cable you're going to have a bad time.Next let's talk about how the saw blade itself will kill you. If you were to ask "is there a blade guard?" the answer is an emphatic "no". Flip the power switch and the exposed blade starts spinning, right next to your hand. The blade has a lot of travel too. So much travel that it's possible for the saw to cut through its own base and into the table below. Fortunately there's a depth stop. Unfortunately the depth stop isn't long enough to prevent the saw blade from hitting its own base. And the final sin of this saw's design is in the bolt holding the saw blade. The way this is designed, any time the saw blade encounters resistance that resistance will work to unscrew the saw blade's bolt. I leave picturing what happens when a spinning saw blade comes loose to your imagination.I was really hoping for a nice, handy little saw, not this potential prop for the Saw movie series.

Pros
  • Powerful Motor
Cons
  • The Mini Table Miter Saw can only accommodate materials with a maximum thickness of 1 inch, making it unsuitable for cutting thicker materials such as hardwood and thicker metal sheets, which can limit your versatility and flexibility when it comes to crafting and DIY projects
