StarTech isn't a company I'm familiar with, but god knows I have a cable for a lot of the tech I own. I wanted something that would connect to a tablet via HDMI as older Samsung 6 Series TVs didn't have the streaming capability of smart TVs. And I didn't have a Playstation or game consoles. I could set up my computer to stream from a media storage device and my internet router, but I'd have to buy a $75 Samsung proprietary USB device, and I wasn't planning on doing that. Enter this adapter, I have tons of HDMI cables of any length. I bought a 3" HDMI and this HDMI to micro USB adapter (from the tablet site) and streamed my Netflix account from my Nexus 7. I love it, it's well built, the price is affordable and I always carry it in my tablet bag. need this. The short cord is comfortably rubberized and flexes (not like some cheap plastic). Buy with confidence, it's worth it. Now I'm a fan of this company. CablesToGo is another shop I shop at.
