They were rated 4 stars in my original review based on initial fit and ease of installation. Now that they are on the chairs and have been using them daily for about three weeks, I have noticed that the felt on the underside of the upholstery has either completely worn away or has come loose from the plastic guide. Chairs now wobble or make loud scraping noises when pulled out from under a table due to the plastic on the tile. I have oak chairs on ceramic tiles. I only weigh about 170 pounds so I'm not bulky and the bottom is hard but smooth. For me the problem lies in the construction of the glider. The plastic circle held in the felt becomes a kind of "cookie cutter" when the weight of the person sitting on the chair compresses the felt and forms a mushroom, and then the plastic circle cuts the felt like a die. Still, for the price it was a good buy. I just don't want to replace all parts every three weeks or less. I hope I find something else that works for me.
