I don't think they're real coconut chips
I don't think they're real coconut shells. It's an odd red color and smell that's unlike any coconut shell I've used before and molded almost immediately, and I know coconut shells are pretty mold resistant as long as you don't over-soak the substrate. I need to replace everything and hope my snakes don't get hurt. Very unhappy.
