I had a sound bar with woofer box and it quit, so I searched for a new one and found the Zvox. I wanted it for more clarity. The remote made it possible to manipulate the sound quality. The bass is good, but the treble still makes most women's voices sound a bit tinny. I had hoped that the "clarity" would make it possible to understand English actors, as in some of the great PBS programs, but generally they still might as well be speaking a foreign language. All in all, the Zvox is many times better than the tiny TV screen speakers which did not have enough volume to be heard across the room. The volume on this sound bar could raise the roof if that is what you need.
