I currently use it for my laser engraver and keep my 13" laptop. I have a few tripods as a professional photographer and videographer but I don't have anything quite like it and was looking for something solid to hold the projector when not my laptop. Assembly is very easy as the metal bracket is secured at the top with a large screw which seems to hold it in place. Obviously it's not designed to hold 20 or 30 pounds with no head sag, but it's held my laptop well so far. I often use it as a laptop or monitor, sometimes when I'm traveling and don't have space to mount it or put it on a stand. Although the design is definitely consumer grade, it's perfect for projectors and light objects ๐
