Used on a camping trip to lock our trailer for storage. I thought it would be nice to know how often I get in and out of the trailer. However, when camping, your hands often get sweaty, dirty or clammy. The scanner does not tolerate any of these inconsistencies. On average, I spent more time standing at the trailer door trying to pick the lock than getting what I needed out of the trailer. On the third day of a 10 day trek, the trailer door was simply left unlocked for the day. Programming is easy, charging is easy, and battery life is great, but it was generally inefficient to use in my scenario.
