Review on Irwin Tools Marples Construction 1768781 by Genene Locson

They are longer than I expected but it was a pleasant surprise. They worked the rot from the box well enough to gouge out the wood under the doorknob to make it a better fit. I got the wet sandpaper/glass disc sanding system from Peachtree Woodworking and spent an hour tonight polishing the back and finer edge of the entire kit. They took advantage well. Very good tool for the price and I appreciate the case and the protective plastic edges. Construction chisel, not woodworking quality. but they can be with some polishing time) 2020 update: I had a project around the house yesterday that required me to shave 1/4" end wood off a 3/4" board. Since I've been polishing over 3 years ago these things are sharp as hell and very easy to control. I got beautiful curls off the wood with way more control than I expected.
