Proven spare parts from third-party manufacturers in the secondary market; return to OEM; still worth it despite the cost

TL/DR: Using non-iRobot 3rd party parts, inside the Roomba vacuum blower, chassis, clean base, wheels, sensors and the cleaning path of a VERY EXPENSIVE robot. This is not the case with original OEM parts and OEM parts will last approximately 3 times longer before being replaced. I went back to original OEM parts because using OEM filters is cheaper (i.e. better, less frequent replacements, easier to maintain) than buying a new robot or a clean base since dust can damage the internal mechanisms and sensors of the robot Roomba clogged. I've tried at least three different manufacturers of replacement parts (particularly a trash can filter that moves with the robot and a dirt removal filter that fits into a clean base). These scammers look and install similarly. But I've found that they don't work the same way. Of course I saved quite a bit of money in the beginning, but I have to regularly and thoroughly clean the fine dust that settles all over the robot (on the vacuum blade fan) and inside the clean base when I change it - do it from the outside because the dust gets everywhere. Keep in mind that Roomba has no actual outlet for the intake air that has passed through the filter; the diagrams show that this dust easily enters the robot's body; This means my robot's internal electronics and mechanisms were covered in god knows how much dust. Dust comes out of the wheel wells, behind the bumper etc. Dust covers everything including wheels and sensors etc. This happens even if I burn through all my cheap filters by changing the filters monthly or more often. When I started using genuine OEM parts again, there was no more particulate matter on the fans or inside the clean base. This is also the case after running OEM filter cleaning routines (I've stopped doing this, using homemade filters that I just swap out on the fly) and after a longer replacement schedule (i.e. 3 months or more). Naturally. , lure third-party replacement parts with the promise of equivalent function at a fraction of the cost. My experience is that these imposter filters should be replaced at least three times as often. And even when someone does - and before they do - fine dust has already entered the very expensive Roomba/Clean Base, covered the robot's sensors/electronics/mechanisms and settled back into the house. I've decided to stop taking the "bait" of the aftermarket and only buy original parts. If cleaning efficiency and robot maintenance/repair are the goals of filter replacement, then OEM parts cost about the same over the life of the filters (i.e. they last longer), FILTER THE AIR MUCH BETTER, and don't spoil robots. You get what you pay for.
