Now I feel safe taking my cakes to an event knowing that the cake container won't let me down no matter what I put in it. Hot, cold: doesn't matter; It works well. I hesitated at first when I saw a hinge about 2 inches in diameter; However, I don't care now. It may fail in a few years, but by then it probably won't matter. Even if it should fail, the integrity of the container is so good that there is no alarm. I appreciate a well thought out product and that's exactly what it is. The thickness allows you to see the cake or whatever inside and I can be sure nothing has been spilled and even if it's due to a tight fast turn it just means I can be ready to take it to clean when I arrive. The seal is tight enough to keep contents fresh and reduce air exchange. Bottom line: the price is worth it, and I'll be buying at least one or two more soon.
