Okay I bought three! My grown daughter insists they were woven with magic by wizards at Hogwarts! We love her. I deliberately bought the largest heavy one. But to move it, you need one of the "guys"! After the first night I woke up in the morning and couldn't tell you what happened! I slept! I have terminal insomnia which she passed on to my kids! The cool side down is best for me. I'm getting hot My daughter lives in Michigan, it's winter and her house is very drafty so she sleeps fur down. She says some nights are "hot flashes" and the blanket is too much. Otherwise, she loves her magic blanket! Your five-year-old has a smaller one and sleeps in until 12 noon! Outrageous! I gave four stars for evenly distributed weight so people know the edges are lighter. That's not a minus. It definitely takes time to get used to pulling it up or taking it off! That is hard! I hope you like it!
