Excellent. There were several of these in my family and they have been working for the last few years. Now I've moved myself, I want to too. So far, so good. I used distilled water to avoid mineral buildup. I'm just lazy and think a gallon bottle is only 89 cents so why not. Instead of rubbing and cleaning the thing from time to time, I can just leave it as long as possible. The water heats up quickly. Very easy to use. I wish it was a little cheaper. Steel, modern, from Japan. White plastic flower parts from Japan but assembled in China. Hope that helps!
