Review on G4Free 13-Piece Camping Cookware Mess Kit: Non Stick Pot, Knife & Spoon Set For Hiking And Backpacking Picnics by Damon Atonyo

Useful for rehydrating dry foods, but not the ultimate solution for ultralight cookware

After 2 weeks' use, all-in-all we will keep using it until we have something better. We used this 2-piece pot set to rehydrate dried meat on an ultralight camp stove while on a camping road trip for two. It works well for that purpose. Rehydrate with some spice, grill veg and other add-ins in a separate pan, then combine in this pot. The lid - more of a 1 cup pot than a "pan" as the description says - fits firmly but not snugly on the larger pot. So it's good to keep in heat to hydrate a camp meal without its own pouch, because it seals a little better than a lid that just sits on top. However, it would not stay on with any kind of jostle or knock-over - don't expect this to stay closed on its side or in a pack. Measurement lines that start at 12 oz are helpful - it would be more helpful if they were oriented inside, and if it marked 8 oz and even 4 oz for the cup & half-cup measurements used in prepping a single serving of dehydrated meats. The mesh bag keeps it all together, but is nothing fantastic as the opening is a bit tight and requires a bit of fiddling to drop it in as one piece. It does fit within, one of those ultralight stoves that comes in an orange case, which we bought separately per the advice of other reviewers. With the stove inside, you maybe couldn't fit a fuel canister (we didn't try), they are about the same diameter - but you could also fit a travel spice shaker and a napkin, for example. It is lightweight, and the simple design makes it easy-to-clean. I would give it one more star if either the lid were more secure, or the measurements started smaller to accommodate typical ingredient portions used by an individual.
