AEM 21-8105DC Air Intake

I bought this air intake kit to be different than what the guys at my auto club run. But that wasn't the only reason - I also liked that the tube is aluminum so you don't have to worry about rusting on the road, both outside and inside. I also chose this kit because of the dry filter element. I hated messing around with oil on the last aftermarket I had, as well as the possibility of oil contaminating the MAF sensor filter (with too much oil). Overall, the kit is very well made and easy to assemble. The guide is good for that. The only tricky part of the installation was attaching the filter to the MAF as it fits snugly between the MAF and the sheet metal behind the headlight. I had to fold the filter a bit to put it on, but it wasn't deformed or torn. Just don't take the clumsy approach and you'll be fine. If anything could be changed, this kit should include a heat shield to block hot air under the hood and flush the fan into the intake. As with similar kits on the market, don't expect huge performance gains unless your engine is tuned to make the most of it (heads, cams, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc.).
