We tried a few other books that were cheaper and they either tore easily or the ink bled really/too much. Ohuhu's marker books are of high quality and have very small halos. Of course, if you use alcohol pens, you must use the protective paper that comes with the book. I cut mine to make it easier to slide in and out of the book's inner pocket, but then of course it's a bit smaller than real paper and I have to be careful when coloring the edges. So far no problem. A glossy cover makes it difficult to personalize - I think artists love that - but with a little creativity it is possible. Maybe Ohuhu could make a more matte cover that we could decorate by ourselves in the future.
