I was actually wanting to replace the vent covers because they were starting to crack and when deciding on a brand/color I read a comment in reviews that also suggested replacing the rubber gasket. I'm glad I did. The old vent gasket was old and moldy. It shrank at an opening and detached from a corner. The old seal broke off when I pulled it on and I replaced it with a new seal. I trimmed the overlap so there were no gaps. Many thanks to the person who offered to replace the rubber seal! Lightweight, perfect fit.
