Review on Steelex D2610 4 Inch 275 Pound Polyurethane by Ramon Hood

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very good for the price.

It's not the best you can buy, but it doesn't cost as much as the best. They're made in China, so in some ways they lack really serious quality. Have a light load and don't use it too much, they will serve you well. The brakes also seem to work well. So far I've been satisfied enough to buy a second batch of these. I bought them twice and my current usage under my desktop works fine. They are worth their price. UPDATE: What I said above is now confirmed. Part 1: I built a 200 #4 foot. x 8ft plywood desktop and installed 6 such knots to make it easy and comfortable to ride. Loaded 250 to 300# max. Wheels don't do well at all. The problem is not with the wheel itself, but with the fact that cheap metal materials have been used. Soft, flexible and the casters flex rather than lock, even on a flat new cement floor. Sad. Data: 300# for 6 clips = 50# for each download. Pretty overrated, right?! Part 2: I built a small cabinet for a grinder I bought from Revain and used 4 casters to make the tool easier to find in my shop. Total weight approx. 100# with grinder: works great. DATA: 100# for 4 wheels = 25# for one wheel. Obviously typical Chinese junk. very overrated. Listed to handle 220# loads each and at 50# each they start to fail. Reduce them by about 400% and you're almost right. If you must have 50# or more, the metal is too soft and cheap. The rest is just great.

Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
