Review on Wireless Charging Battery Case Compatible With IPhone XR (6.1 Inch) - Ultra Slim Portable Protective Extended Charger Cover (Black) by Leslie King

Firmware troubles and eventual plug failure.

I purchased this product in mid February of 2019 and it only lasted 5 months.Initially it worked great, but has some interesting design problems that came to light through use. First, the buttons are not made the same as the more expensive Mophie cases are. The buttons are integrated into the molding of the case plastic, so that eventually they will break off.Second, the microprocessor that decides whether to charge the battery or charge the phone uses firmware that has a ton of glitches. There would be times that the battery in the phone case would charge but not the phone itself. Sometimes that would require taking the phone out of it's case and then setting it back in for the phone itself to start charging. Understand this is not a problem with the phone charging jack being dirty, it was a problem with their firmware not charging the iPhone itself. Other times, if the battery in the case had been completely depleated, it would require the battery in the case to get at least one bar of charge before the phone would then start charging.I had the hardest time with phone chargers in the car. None of mine put out enough energy even though they put out enough energy for all phones and other battery cases that have been used before to be able to charge this phone case. To troubleshoot this, I made sure the output was enough for all devices, including a huge Mophie power-brick style battery pack that you can use to charge all of your electronics. Then about 3 months in, the case itself started breaking apart. Now, you have to understand something, I am not the type of user who bangs phones around. The top of the case is now missing part of the right side and the button on the right side has fallen off.The nail in the coffin came today as the charging jack itself decided to stop working. I had to buy another case--back to Mophie. Sorry, Alpatronix. I can't trust your products to work. Never had a problem with Mophie before. Alpatronix was first to market with the battery phone case for the iPhone 10xr and that's why I bought this thing and not the Mophie, they didn't have one yet. But now that it exists, I'm going back to the name brand.
