A Little Shade In Texas is Better Than No Shade At All.

I bought this small triangular shade first to test it with the corner of my fence. I didn't use the included nylon rope as I decided to use 3/16ths inch nylon coated SS cable and hardware to connect to my fence posts. Though the shade is little I plan on either buying more of the triangular pieces to overlap them or possibly go with square/rectangular ones. This small sun shade does provide shade as you can see. Not a lot of course but for now I am more interested in its shear strength. My last one had a corner ripped off in a heavy wind incident so I am trying to run this one through its paces. So far it's been up for just over a month in the hot, damn hot, Texas sun and though no major wind storms have come through yet there have been some very windy days. As it is this little guy has maintained the status quo. I can't remember how long my previous one lasted but at least two years. So, we’ll see how this little guy does but so far the color hasn't changed, the fabric still feels the same - not brittle and it's been in the hot, damn hot, Texas sun everyday since I hung it up, with no noticeable issues. I recommend buying this if you are planning on buying more than one and overlapping them like their diagrams show or you just want to cover a small area like an apartment balcony. Otherwise you may want to go with more than one, larger dimensions or with the square/rectangular shades. In any case I think this is a good buy! I hope this helps!

Pros
  • Beige W/Hardware Kit
Cons
  • May not be as lightweight as other shade options
