Review on Aleene's 29-2 Tack-It Over & Over Liquid Glue 4oz: Reusable Adhesive Solution by Carol Miller

Aleene's makes the best glue in the world. I have an unusual use for this product. I use this for my CPAP sleep apnea mask. It is non-toxic and acts like a sticky adhesive, similar to post-it sticker glue. This has saved me hundreds of dollars on replacement masks because silicone stretches and doesn't seal, which is critical to successful CPAP therapy, as most sleep apnea sufferers know. Leaks around the mask are a constant struggle. I have very sensitive skin and this adhesive has not affected me in any way. To use this glue on your mask, simply apply a fairly thick, even coat of glue to the mask, not directly to your face as you've learned the hard way. I have oily skin so I clean my face well first. The glue is initially white and becomes transparent after curing. Hair dryer speeds up the drying time. When you're done, simply hold the mask to your face (preferably in a reclined position) and gently press around the perimeter of the mask as if you're pressing it in place. I sleep 8 hours every night with no leaks. The only drawback: the adhesive remains on the face when the mask is removed, it detaches completely from the mask. Remove the mask carefully so as not to tear the silicone. Then you just peel the glue off your face, it's still tacky and easy to peel off. That is for me. I've researched all the glues and tapes recommended for mask leaks and none of them give such excellent results. An unconventional use but a necessity proves that experimenting with different things can work.
