. These lights have separate Turn Signal (Amber), Standby (White/Clear), Work and Brake (Dim Red and Bright Red). This means there are five wires, which is not standard on most US made cars and trucks. I used a Curt 2 to 3 wire tail light converter to separate the brake and turn signal signals. I had to cut a piece of oak to attach the lights to and then the oak to my pendant. Be sure to check and label each wire coming out of the light so that when you connect it everything works correctly. I see some reviewers not taking this step and then complaining about incorrect internal wiring. Had they taken this simple step, they would have been spared many of the worries that follow. I like these lights as there are 25 LEDs in each color.
