I was in a popular computer store to buy Promedia 5.1 speakers and a sound card when I noticed this DVD player in the window. I realized that with the sound on my PC I NEEDED a DVD player but I didn't want to spend a lot of money to get one. I accidentally chose this one without doing any research. I know this company from other products so I figured why not. I was very pleased. After installing it, which wasn't very difficult, I followed the instructions, booted my computer, put in the disc and it was ready to use. The first CDs and DVDs, which I got fed up with, worked great. BIG bargain for the price if you don't just have a DVD player. Also, it's a pretty fast CD-ROM, so you can completely replace your old CD-ROM, like I did. This worked for me and here is my computer. Windows ME, 2.0 GHz P4, 700 MB RAM, Geforce3 ti, Turtle Beach sound card and Promedia 5.1 speakers. Hope it works for you as well. Good luck and take care.
