Great product for internal CD and DVD drives

This product is really great. I mean all I had to do was plug it in and I had Win XP which made it easy. I was practically up and running in less than 15 minutes! I highly recommend it as it is the best buy for your money. Enjoy!

WOW very impressed for the money

I was in a popular computer store to buy Promedia 5.1 speakers and a sound card when I noticed this DVD player in the window. I realized that with the sound on my PC I NEEDED a DVD player but I didn't want to spend a lot of money to get one. I accidentally chose this one without doing any research. I know this company from other products so I figured why not. I was very pleased. After installing it, which wasn't very difficult, I followed the instructions, booted my computer, put in the disc…

Silence is golden! internal optical drives

This drive makes a lot of noise. If you prefer disc drive noise, vibration, and squeaks when watching DVDs or playing other media, then this option is for you. I didn't find any problems with dual layer DVDs, but there were some problems with the external tracks of some audio CDs. The color of the drive is light gray, not beige as one might think. The drive tray was slightly misaligned and looked like everything would fall apart after a few months of use as it made a clicking noise when opening

cheap but not always functional

I've had this DVD drive for a year and a half now and it works most of the time (albeit with an excruciatingly loud hum that sometimes ruins the movie experience), but I found it that it cannot recognize some DVDs. These are perfectly legal home videos that work on other DVD-ROMs but not on this one. So from time to time I have to borrow someone's DVD player just to watch a movie, which is inconvenient. It's probably better to buy a more expensive DVD-ROM drive that's quiet and really works all

Easiest Hardware I've Ever Installed

This is without a doubt the easiest hardware I've ever installed. I bought it to replace my existing CD-ROM drive. It was as easy as removing the CD-ROM drive and sliding the rails to the DVD drive. Connect cable and start machine. Here it is. I then downloaded the DVD software and it was just as quick. I opened the DVD drive, put the CD in, it started automatically, booted up and was done in 2 minutes. I can listen to music or watch a movie. The product has truly set the standard for hardware…
