This assembly is very well done. I've seen pictures of (poor) copies showing the hollow part of the barrel failing and shrinking. I had no problems with the Honda B18B head, although I had to remove both end cam covers - I wish the end brackets had a little more clearance. on the hole slot so I can use the two inner cam covers which would make the job easier. Use this tool effectively. In my case, the 4-barrel DOHC head slid everywhere and just wasn't heavy enough to stay in one place when trying to compress the valves. I ended up putting a towel under my head and on top of the cooler I was sitting in. chair to get the job done. Multiple holes on the bracket allow for adjustment of the compression arm. Of course, getting used to the instrument took the most time, but once you got the hang of it, it went pretty quickly. much faster and don't have to worry about the tool falling apart, but these things are all copies of the same design, probably made in China anyway. body - see fig.) are designed as both have threaded ends; They must be for another manufacturer with a fancy valve design. Yes, you can buy a cheaper version of this tool, but this one won't buckle under pressure. I plan to do another job on a Toyota 7MG head soon.
