Review on 🚰 Delta Faucet Windemere 2-Handle Kitchen Sink Faucet - Chrome Finish with Side Sprayer (Model: 21996LF) by George Bell

Not bad, but there are better alternatives.

Delta fittings are generally very reliable. They're not necessarily super high-end, but they're a good, reliable mixer that rarely causes problems in use. This faucet is fairly typical of this standard, but there are a few features of this particular model that I don't particularly care about. Keep in mind that these are generally "fussy" but I would probably choose a different model if I did this again: * The faucet radius is smaller than other versions of the faucet. This means the distance from the base to the water outlet is slightly less than the version I replaced. This shorter distance reduces faucet reach, and things that I could previously wash easily now require more manipulation to flush under the bevel (and I have more water around the sink than in it!). * Valves don't have much water. Setting between "on" and "off". This means that you open the face valve almost halfway before the water starts to flow, and there's not much of a difference between when the water starts to flow and when it's fully open. Overall, about 1/3 of the travel seems to really make sense, making temperature control difficult. * Flow rate seems overly limited compared to the previous Delta faucet. I'm sure they meet an environmental requirement (current or future) but it's noticeable and thereby degrades the performance of the faucet a bit. I'm giving this device 3 runs because it's not *bad*, but it's not fantastic either. It works and does the job as advertised. There are other devices that perform better for a similar or slightly higher price. I don't hate him enough to replace him, but knowing what I know now, I would go the other way.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Thoughtlessness
