Review on DB Electrical 410-40034 Starter: Perfect Fit for BMW R60 & Moto Guzzi Models by David Golden

Guzzi people: This works for older big twins. Screwed it into my 77 LeMans even though the stock starter was an 8 tooth. This launcher is misadvertised and actually has 9 teeth but will hook up nicely. You will need to replace one of the neutral switch screws with a lower profile hex head screw and you will need to purchase another screw that matches the top mounting screw for the standard starter to use on the underside of this new starter. Turns the bike faster and consumes less energy. Also much smaller and lighter. I don't expect it to last as long as the stock Bosch.
