There are so many insulation tapes that are complete crap, and finally I found one that's not. This is super thick foam, but it compresses well if needed to get into small gaps. I just bought a house and the first thing we noticed is how drafty it is. Lead times on new windows are half a year out. This insulating tape is holding us over quite well, immediately after using this for all the upstairs windows, the house felt way less drafty. Not just a noticeable amount, it pretty much fixed the issue. Long term adhesion is unknown, but I have high hopes, the adhesive is very sticky and you can tell it wants to stick strong. But when I needed to reposition some, it didn't leave behind a lot of residue. Only good things to say so far!
