We have a sink in the basement of our rental and everything works fine except for the moment I turned on the garbage chute upstairs. The ground food and materials were then thrown into the sink below. I hired my husband to fix this because I was tired of cleaning the sink every time I used the upstairs duct. It fits perfectly on the sink drain and solves the problem. It's also easy to remove. Just a few turns on the wing nut and a little sideways pressure and it's ready to be washed. It is well made and works very well.
