I purchased these bars for my 2019 Kona and I could not get them to install with a tight fit. I took them to a mechanic that installed them and they felt better than when I installed them. The design is flawed. There is nothing to secure them to the rails. The inner adjustable "grasp” is flat and has no ridge to grasp on to the rail. I should have turned them. Needless to say I learned my lesson because I was driving down the street and the rear bar flew off my Kona scraping the paint and nearly striking the vehicle behind me. Thank god I had nothing attached to the bars at the time.
