Review on DELIXI Ratchet PVC Pipe Cutter With Blade For Precision Cutting Of PVC, PEX, PPR, Hoses, And Plumbing Pipes - 1-5/8"(42MM) Capacity by David Turner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A Cut Above the Rest, But Not Quite Perfect

I recently purchased the DELIXI Ratchet PVC Pipe Cutter for a plumbing project and overall, it did the job. The ratcheting mechanism made cutting through various materials a breeze, and the blade provided a clean cut without any jagged edges. I was able to cut through PVC, PEX, PPR, hoses, and plumbing pipes with ease, but unfortunately, the capacity was limited to 1-5/8" (42MM). While the DELIXI Cutter performed well for my needs, there were a few issues that brought my rating down to three stars. Firstly, the handle was not ergonomic, making it uncomfortable to use for extended periods. Additionally, the blade would occasionally get stuck, causing delays in the project. Lastly, I found that the cutter struggled with thicker pipes, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, the DELIXI Ratchet PVC Pipe Cutter gets the job done, but it's not perfect. If you're cutting through thinner pipes and don't mind a slightly uncomfortable handle, this cutter is a good choice. However, if you need something that can handle larger pipes or want more comfort while working, you may want to look elsewhere.

Pros
  • The ratcheting mechanism of the DELIXI Pipe Cutter makes it easy to use, reducing strain on hands and wrists while providing optimal leverage for cutting efficiency
Cons
  • Accuracy: While the DELIXI Ratchet PVC Pipe Cutter is marketed as a precision tool for cutting pipes, its accuracy can be affected by the user's grip strength and stability, which can lead to uneven and inaccurate cuts
