Review on DAP GIDDS 441128 Dap Quart White by Charles Long

Very light as advertised. But it doesn't seem to be advertised here anymore. A container was stuck when we opened it. When we apply it, it doesn't fill completely, leaving a lot of small "dimples" compared to the traditional composition. It is advertised that it can be colored after an hour. But it won't pour evenly, so painting over it will give you an uneven surface. Doesn't like grinding. When sanding, the pieces come loose from the holes. We found that we had to patch and sand three times before getting a satisfactory filling. Two weeks after spackling and painting, the mixture is squeezed out of the drywall, again leaving holes. the mixture leaves a smooth surface and does not crack, which is desirable. We recommend using the traditional ones, which are heavier and take longer to dry but give much nicer end results.
