How to choose the right support
I needed these for a 1987 Hydrostream. As other reviewers have pointed out, sizing is the hardest part as no information was provided. I stacked the old black bar and new silver bar on top of each other with both swivel feet fully centered (just over 90 degrees) and the 12" bars I ordered were 11 1/2". So if your old post is 11 1/2", you need a 12" post. I suspect if you need more or less support when bending the ends and measuring you will want a support that is 1/2" longer than the old ones. **** Photos of the supports and dimensions were taken after I made the new one already installed, but you'll get the idea of what it is.
