Poor design and roughness on bare skin

I'm a massage therapist, so I have a lot of massagers to help loosen my own knots. A Theracane reed or an S-shaped reed without rollers is the best I've used. The rolling balls on it are tricks, they don't really work and don't matter. The tallow or oil that comes from our liquors is enough to give the stick a decent glide. The handles are poorly designed and the material is rough on bare skin compared to other reeds. It should be shaped like a sphere at the end of the S shape instead of two weird inward points. The blade is two 1/2 piece pieces that must be held together by a pair of end caps that are not screwed or clamped. inside they are quite loose so they have to be glued otherwise they will be lost leaving two halves,
