My 03' Z driver's window started to slam. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. I'd have to knock on the door, or maybe roll down the windows a bit, to start the engine. It looked like the switch and relay were working, I heard a click when I pressed it so I felt it wasn't. Sometimes it tried to move when pressed, so I figured it was most likely that the motor just failed. After YouTube, I've seen that moving window channels isn't something to be afraid of if you're properly prepared. Here's a tip: take a marker and mark the threads on the gold screws (not on the tops of the screws but where they appear to be screws in the door). So you know how many threads were shown at the factory before screwing on. Also mark on the door panel where the flat head point was as they can move independently to set the track. That's where it will move your window! So as long as you have everything marked it's fine as long as you pay attention and give it a little attention when loosening and tightening those screws and bolts. When everything is out, start with the outer (inner) 10mm bolts and the 12mm motor bolts. The rest of the process was fairly easy with some arms bending forward to reach the panel to hook/unhook something. Although people have mentioned that a reset operation is not required, I did it anyway, just to be sure. You can close the door or just stick the door open trigger on the chassis with tape (rubber boot on the tire pressure label). Then turn the key to the "On" position. Press the reset button on the new motor while manually (not automatically) lowering the window and release the button when it is fully down. Raise the window again without auto-raise. And it should stop at the top. Now when you remove the tape from the ajar door switch, the window should drop down a bit, just like it did at the factory. I'll update the expiration info so I've taken it off the list, but other than that I don't have to open the door to get a parking key card or anything, how stinky! Hooray! And at a fraction of the cost compared to stealing. Be sure to get the motor with a reset button. If you rely on it being "probably" set to the correct height, you may break the triangular rubber seal if it goes too far. Be careful with the reset/calibrate button motor. UPDATE: 10/5 still satisfied. Not sure if only the passenger side motor is older, but I did notice that this new motor is slightly faster.
