Review on SeaSense Fuel Filter Kit: Clear Bowl & Aluminum Head for Optimal Performance by Dave Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Note: The unit does not come with a mounting kit or anything else to attach the filter to the boat. I screwed it on

I have a small bass boat, a 2012 Pro 165 Tracker. cause or aggravate unnecessary wear and tear, especially when not in use. I installed a blow on demand valve behind this filter and routed the new 3/8" lines back into the gas tank to fix the air leak and make sure I didn't have any future problems. The device works great and filters the water perfectly, which ensures a quick engine start and smoother operation. Many people claim that it also reduces or eliminates the negative effects of ethanol blends, I'm not a pro and have no real comments on this ability, but it seems to make sense and has great value even in addition to filtering water. It's a big unit and initially I wasn't sure where it would fit as it's a smaller boat for bass. Here's a tip, the unit doesn't come with a mounting kit or anything to attack the filter on the boat. I bolted it to the 2x4 and then clamped the 2x4 to a smaller piece of metal with holes where the filter wouldn't otherwise fit. I also didn't want to poke a hole in the metal boat and wanted to be able to remove the clamp and rotate the board to have better access to the water drain filter. Keeping the boat clean and moving smoothly will definitely pay off in the long run. I hope this review helped, if it helped please give it a thumbs up so others can get tips too. Health and successful fishing!
