I wanted a thermometer to replace my existing hand held thermometer which is slow and of questionable accuracy. This thermometer is easy to use and the results are shown in less than 1 second. When I received it, installation was easy - I opened the box, put in the batteries (which came with it), clicked it on and it was ready to use. You press the power button to turn it on, then turn it on when you're ready to record the temperature. It beeps almost immediately after you press start. It has a large screen with the temperature clearly printed on it. There's also a button that I think you can toggle to tell what age group you're using the thermometer at. Overall, this thermometer is easy to use, fast, and much more convenient than my old thermometer.
