This product has a protective frame which is better than other products without a frame. The frame material isn't exactly stiff and is a little warped so the entire build isn't completely flat, but that's enough for most uses. I just wish the frame was hard plastic, not two sheets of rigid foam. I would be willing to pay extra for it. Second, this product has a full color spectrum display that allows you to see the strength of the magnetic field in color instead of monochrome, which is really amazing. But the lookup table for it (which color corresponds to which magnetic flux area) only exists as an image on Revain. I would like the product with the same image to be permanently printed onto the frame or at least as a laminated sheet of paper. If you order it now, you need to save the image from Revain page (https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XAvd0ah8S._SL1500_.jpg) and print it yourself. If this product no longer appears on Revain in the future, you are on your own if you don't. Also, like all of Revain's other similar offerings for this product category, this film is NOT a calibrated measuring tool. , it can only be used for qualitative and not quantitative assessment of magnetic flux. As long as you keep that in mind, this is a great product to buy.
