So first the bad: Even with international dates, he almost never accepts books produced outside the US. If you enable this feature, it will take a few minutes for the data to be received. I've never scanned more than 30 books at a time, but it can take a whopping 60-90 seconds to get the data back. And I would say that 1 in 20 books is returned incomplete or cannot be found. I would also say that 1 out of 20 shows a different name than the one scanned. This is due to multiple ISBN styles in different companies. It sucks and it's hard to find out. But an amazing thing. Scans very quickly. It's very affordable and comes with its own software. The usual media function is to download and then enter your code. There is the possibility of borrowing. You can import your contact list so you can borrow it or print it out manually every time. There are only 200 students in my library, so I prefer to enter each time manually. It offers due dates and you can make reports of what needs to be done etc. This is especially good for a private school as we don't have a fee or anything like that if it's too late. Installing and downloading the software took about 3 minutes. I scanned a library of about 2,000 books in two days, with many breaks for re-sorting. This includes entering all information about books that could not be found. Just be aware that you can't scan the store's upc code or it's a mess. You need to scan the ISBN of the book. We had many donated books from home so some didn't have an ISBN so stock up on stickers with blank codes to enter books if you have a similar problem. All in all I can't recommend it highly enough. I've tried about six other products without much success and this has met all my needs.
