So. I'm really mad at the goats at GE for putting an RFID chip on their fridge water filters and charging you $50 every 6 months to replace them to calculate. Full of BS! I bought this kit along with a 5 year old built in water filter and installed it between the water valve in the wall and the fridge. I installed a filter bypass where the water filter would be in the fridge (it came with the fridge but can be purchased if needed). Long story short, the $40 I spent on this kit and filter goes for about $500 GE filters.
