So the rubber plug at top of duct/bottom of sink was missing when our last group of tenants moved out of the rental. (argh). This has never happened before, most of the time the tenants lose the rubber stopper so they can fill the sink (besides, they are not always easy to find). We installed an older GE disposal and a new group of residents were due to move in in less than a week. No local supplier stocked the right size rubber protector so I carefully measured and double checked what brand/model of disposer we had. and ordered this item. Sadly, the days of the two-day Revain Prime are over, but luckily this thing came along just in time. absolutely perfect. I made sure the drain hole was clean, put a new rubber plug in the hole and. Well it was - like new. It couldn't be easier. NO TOOLS NEEDED to install on my model: *Turn off the machine for safety*, insert it into the hole, make sure it's snug, done. I'm very happy with the quality of the part (good, durable, pliable rubber). and completely satisfied with the fit. I would buy a genuine OEM part from the manufacturer if I could get it in time, but that wasn't possible. Not crazy! This part seems just as good in every way and not only saved me some money but saved me the embarrassment of moving tenants with a silly device. Model. Also caution: Unplug the device from the mains while you are working on it. I didn't have to put my hand or anything in the hole in the reptile, but still. turn that thing off anyway.
