Review on ☂️ Top-Quality Automatic Windproof Water Resistant Foldable Umbrellas for Easy Folding by Melanie Lujan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Razor-sharp titanium handles. It still turns over in strong winds.

This umbrella is thin and quite compact, but of course it doesn't cover the eyes very well. That's only enough for one person, and that's fine. On the other hand, I liked that it opens quickly. This was an issue with my previous Totes titanium screen (which was great but was stolen) as there was a noticeable lag when pressing the auto open button. Pressing the button again "closes" it, but you still have to physically squeeze the spring-loaded shaft to "recharge" it. However, I was unhappy with the fact that it flipped the second time around. I live in Hawaii and sometimes there are a lot of trade winds (I also work on the windward side, the windiest side of Oahu). For a product that offers wind performance, I expected more of it. My previous Totes umbrella was larger and never folded, even in strong winds. My biggest concern is that titanium handles are definitely a safety issue as they have razor sharp edges. DO NOT tap on it or touch the corners of your arms when they are closed as you will bleed. This is akin to 8 switchblades disguised as an umbrella and I would be embarrassed to carry this item through customs at the airport. Fortunately, the ends of the arms are covered with a bullet. The base of the handle also has an elastic cord to which a similar ball is attached to complete the aesthetic. Bottom Line: It would be nice if this product performed as advertised in high winds, but it doesn't. I have to give this product one star just for work. It opens and closes with an auto open/close function, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this product due to safety issues caused by the sharpness of the titanium rods.
