I had to paint a new car doorknob when the original broke. Use this cover for multiple coats of paint to match the body and then a clear coat. This cover worked really well to keep my work area dust free and the rest of my garage from overspray. $12 for the part, $25 for the custom color, and $29 for this reusable splash guard saved me over $150 by paying someone to do the work. They don't dissipate like you spray something in an open area. It is therefore essential to use a respirator to avoid inhaling concentrated paint spray! The paper dust mask is not good enough for this application. Two cons: I can't fold the shelter compact enough to fit in my tote bag - it's a bit of a hassle to store. Also, I feel the shelter should have some sort of solution to tie it down so it doesn't get blown away by the wind - it's very light and can easily topple over.
